St. Patrick’s Day Square Dance Party – South Lake Tahoe
Taking place on March 13 and presented by Carson Valley Squares, this high-energy event is the perfect way to have a blast, whether that’s with the family or you’re looking to get out of the house for St. Patrick’s Day weekend and try something new.
Scott Olson will be the instructor and caller, teaching folks the ways of Modern Western Square Dancing through introductory dances. You don’t need to know what you’re doing, and you don’t have to have a partner. All that’s required are some grippy shoes and a great attitude.
Carson Valley Squares is looking to bring this tradition back to South Lake Tahoe on a regular basis, so if you’ve always wanted to try it, stop by the Senior Center from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and enjoy dancing to all genres of music. You might just fall in love with it.
The event costs $8 per adult and $5 for students ages 12-18 years old.
“Start your St. Patty’s weekend with an evening of fun for all ages learning the basics of square dancing,” said Olson.
The Senior Center is located at 3050 Lake Tahoe Blvd in South Lake Tahoe, California.
Riva Grill’s St. Patrick’s Day Treasure Hunt – South Lake Tahoe
For its second week, the quest to find hidden gold while shopping at local businesses around South Lake Tahoe continues. Riva Grill leprechauns have hidden these bags of gold at the businesses listed below:
Thatyana Allen, Group Sales and Marketing Manager at Riva Grill, started the event last year with the hopes of giving back to the community through supporting fellow Tahoe businesses.
“Each business received four golden bags, and in them, you’ll find three gold coins that are good to trade for a free Wet Woody. In one of them is a $50 gift card to Riva Grill,” said Allen. “The guest that finds the gold has to show proof of purchase at that business in order to retrieve the prize.”
Make sure to post a photo tagging Riva Grill and the business you found the gold at to show off your amazing treasure hunting skills and keep the momentum going.
Whether you’re just visiting or you live here, the pursuit for treasure will continue until the 17th of March, so get to hunting while you still can, and support local businesses in South Lake Tahoe this St. Patrick’s Day!
On March 17, the final day of the treasure hunt, stop by Riva Grill for an Irish whiskey tasting of Tullamore D.E.W. and complimentary appetizers.
