Remote Surveillance Trailer in Redondo Beach, CA

Businesses like yours that exist in today's commercial landscape have to navigate a litany of complex security challenges that go beyond their property and premises. We're talking about criminals intent on trespassing, theft, squatting, vandalism, and more. Unfortunately, conventional security efforts are often underwhelming and ineffective in managing modern risks. That's because traditional systems are reactive, not proactive, by nature. That means they're designed to respond to criminal acts after they've happened. Typical responses from these systems include sounding alarms and notifying the authorities - but only after trespassers are on-site. This type of response leads to unnecessary false alarms and frustratingly slow police response times, giving criminals the opportunity to escape with sensitive assets, data, and more.

Mr. Security Camera was founded to address these shortcomings by offering business owners like you proactive, comprehensive security solutions you can count on. With innovative tools like a remote surveillance trailer in Redondo Beach, CA, you can get ahead of security breaches, deter potential criminals from committing crimes, and solidify the overall safety of your property without having to rely on outdated security models. By focusing on prevention and lightning-fast response times, we help make peace of mind plentiful for today's most successful property owners and managers.

REDONDO BEACH, CA — BeachLife Festival will return this spring with a touch of 80s rock and a hint of 90s punk rock.

The three-day event — from May 1 to May 3 at Seaside Lagoon in Redondo Beach— will include headliners Duran Duran, The Offspring and James Taylor and His All-Star Band, the festival announced on social media last week.

“BeachLife’s grateful for the opportunity to continue curating music, food, and lifestyle experiences that celebrate the beach culture of Southern California,” festival co-founder Allen Sanford said in a statement to The Daily Breeze. “This year’s lineup is once again highlighted by a special collection of artists and bands who’ve helped shape the soundtrack of our California lifestyle … from its early days to today.”

Co-founded by Sanford and Rob Lissner, the festival held its inaugural show in 2019, with headliners Bob Weir and Wolf Bros, Brian Wilson w/ Al Jardine & Blondie Chaplin and Willie Nelson & Family, Live For Live Music reported.

“We’ve painstakingly curated this lineup to capture what we believe is the unique spirit of BeachLife, bringing together a mix of legendary icons, headlining touring bands and emerging artists who all in some way represent our Southern California beach lifestyle,” the co-founders said in a written statement to the outlet in 2019.

BeachLife aims “to inspire community, authenticity, and generosity through the celebration of music, art, and our Southern California beach life culture,” according to festival organizers.

“We were lucky enough to grow up in Southern California on the beach — surfing, hanging out with sand between our toes, vibing with friends, and living the beach life,” organizers said. “Our culture celebrates the power and beauty of the ocean and coastal resources — our waves, wind, smell of sea salt, beaches, sand, and wildlife that call this their home.”

Since its inception seven years ago, BeachLife has burgeoned into more than a music event.

It’s become a well-known South Bay institution, Palos Verdes Magazine reported last year.

The brand includes two Redondo Beach restaurants — California Surf Club and BeachLife Grotto — a general store and even a brand-specific rum.

“When I first started, people asked me what business I was in,” Sanford told Palos Verdes Magazine. “Some people are in the music business. Some are in food. Some in cocktails. I like to think of us as in the vibe business.”

BeachLife’s lineup this spring includes:

Friday, May 1:

Saturday, May 2:

Sunday, May 3:

Are We Alone In The Universe? South Bay Company Joins NASA In Search For The Answer

REDONDO BEACH, CA — A South Bay technology company has been selected by NASA to help advance its search-for-life mission, NASA announced Monday.

NASA selected industry proposals from seven companies, including Northrop Grumman Inc. in Redondo Beach, to help advance technology for its “Habitable Worlds Observatory concept — the first mission that would directly image Earth-like planets around stars like our Sun and study the chemical composition of their atmospheres for signs of life,” NASA officials said.

The space telescope would also allow for a range of “studies of our universe and support future human exploration of Mars, our solar system, and beyond,” officials said.

“The Habitable Worlds Observatory is exactly the kind of bold, forward-leaning science that only NASA can undertake,” NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman said in a written statement. “Humanity is waiting for the breakthroughs this mission is capable of achieving and the questions it could help us answer about life in the universe.”

To reach its goal, NASA officials said the Habitable Worlds Observatory requires “a stable optical system that moves no more than the width of an atom while it conducts observations.”

The mission also calls for “a coronagraph – an instrument that blocks the light of a star to better see its orbiting planets – thousands of times more capable than any space coronagraph ever built,” officials said.

The Habitable Worlds Observatory would be designed so it could be serviced in space to extend its lifetime, according to NASA.

To further these technologies, NASA said it selected three-year, fixed-price contracts with seven companies:

“The newly selected proposals build on previous industry involvement, which began in 2017 under NASA’s ‘System-Level Segmented Telescope Design’ solicitations and continued with awards for large space telescope technologies in 2024,” according to NASA.

The proposals will help inform NASA’s approach in planning the “Habitable Worlds Observatory concept, as the agency builds on technologies and lessons learned from its Hubble Space Telescope, James Webb Space Telescope, and upcoming Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope,” officials said.

“Are we alone in the universe? is an audacious question to answer, but one that our nation is poised to pursue, leveraging the groundwork we’ve laid from previous NASA flagship missions,” Shawn Domagal-Goldman, director of the Astrophysics Division at NASA Headquarters in Washington, said in a written statement. “With the Habitable Worlds Observatory, NASA will chart new frontiers for humanity’s exploration of the cosmos.”

Redondo Beach is a popular seaside destination for beachgoers and dog lovers alike. With its generous coastline, sandy beaches, and plenty of attractions, it’s no wonder people flock to this sunny spot in California. But what about Fido? Is Redondo Beach dog-friendly?

While there is a dog park in the City of Redondo Beach, the main beach and pier are not dog-friendly. Read on to learn more about what you can do with your dog within and around the City of Redondo Beach.

Dog Beaches

If you are keen to hit the beach with your dog, there are a few places you can go outside Redondo Beach (both on-leash and off-leash). Rosie’s Dog Beach (located in Long Beach), Leo Carrillo State Park (though only in day-use areas, campgrounds, and North Beach, North of Lifeguard Tower 3), and Huntington Dog Beach are some popular ones.

Parks and Trails

Although Redondo’s great beaches are not dog-friendly, the LA area does have plenty of parks and trails ideal for walking your dog. Many trails in the Santa Monica Mountains allow dogs (though they generally need to be on-leash), and Runyon Canyon Park is very dog-friendly, with 90 acres of off-leash area and plenty of on-leash trail access. And LA’s famous Griffith Park is dog-friendly as long as you keep them on leash. For more options, read our list of the best dog-friendly hiking trails in Southern California or check out the best dog parks in Los Angeles!

Dog Parks

The City of Redondo Beach also has a dog park where local pooches can run free and explore the great outdoors. The Redondo Beach Dog Park is located within the city’s Dominguez Park and provides a safe place for dogs of all sizes to play, socialize, and exercise. This three-acre park is fenced and provides different areas for large and small dogs, plus watering stations.

The garden offers special “Dog Walking Hours,” free for humans and $5 for dogs. With paths winding through gardens of local flora, it’s the perfect spot to spend some quality time with man’s best friend.

Other Places to Take Your Dog

The City of Redondo Beach does not permit dogs on its beaches or in stores or restaurants selling human food. The municipal code states that dogs must be:

restrained by a substantial chain or leash not exceeding six (6′) feet in length and he or she is in the charge, care, custody or control of a competent person; provided, however, that no dog shall be allowed or permitted on any beach or in any store, market, restaurant, café, lunch room, soda fountain, bakery or kindred establishment wherein vegetables, meats or other foods for human consumption are served, sold or kept for sale.

Though Redondo Beach isn’t home to dog-friendly restaurants or bars, there are still plenty of places to spoil your pup while you explore the town. There are several pet stores that offer treats, toys, and grooming services—all great options for keeping Fido entertained while you enjoy the sights.

What Should I Bring When I Take My Dog to the Beach?

When taking your dog to the beach elsewhere in LA, it’s important to bring some essential items. Most importantly, don’t forget a leash and a waste bag. It’s also a good idea to bring plenty of water for both you and your pup, as well as some treats or toys to keep them occupied during your visit.

Finally, if your dog has any specific health or dietary needs, make sure you have the necessary items to take care of them. With these items in hand, you and your pup are sure to have a great time in the Redondo Beach area!

What Else Do I Need to Know?

When taking your pup to the beach or parks, always remember to clean up after them and keep a close eye on them at all times. REDONDO BEACH, CA — The Redondo Beach Planning Commission earlier this month denied a proposal to build a four-story condominium complex on Pacific Coast Highway, The Daily Breeze reported.

The commission cited restrictions on public access to the coast, as well as a lack of parking and safety plans as reasons for denying the proposed project at 401-417 Pacific Coast Highway during its meeting on Thursday, Dec. 19, the newspaper reported.

Commissioner Gale Hazeltine said that while additional housing needs to be built in the city, including near the beach, “a building of this size would put a strain on already limited parking in the neighborhood,” The Daily Breeze reported.

“The city can’t absolve itself of its responsibility to preserve access to the beach,” Hazeltine said, according to the newspaper. “The Coastal Commission says you have to be able to get to the beach and the pier.”

Redondo Seaside Living, LLC applied for a permit to build the complex, a 49-unit mixed-use building, as a density bonus law project, according to the developer’s proposal.

California’s density bonus law requires local municipalities to allow developers a density increase of up to 50% or more, should they provide a minimum percentage of affordable housing or senior units, according to the law firm Meyers Nave.

Redondo Seaside Living’s PCH project would include 49 units, five of which would be “affordable to very low income and three of which are affordable to moderate-income households,” and 17,000 square feet of commercial retail space on the ground floor, the developer’s designs say.
