Remote Surveillance Trailer in Pullman, WA

Businesses like yours that exist in today's commercial landscape have to navigate a litany of complex security challenges that go beyond their property and premises. We're talking about criminals intent on trespassing, theft, squatting, vandalism, and more. Unfortunately, conventional security efforts are often underwhelming and ineffective in managing modern risks. That's because traditional systems are reactive, not proactive, by nature. That means they're designed to respond to criminal acts after they've happened. Typical responses from these systems include sounding alarms and notifying the authorities - but only after trespassers are on-site. This type of response leads to unnecessary false alarms and frustratingly slow police response times, giving criminals the opportunity to escape with sensitive assets, data, and more.

Mr. Security Camera was founded to address these shortcomings by offering business owners like you proactive, comprehensive security solutions you can count on. With innovative tools like a remote surveillance trailer in Pullman, WA, you can get ahead of security breaches, deter potential criminals from committing crimes, and solidify the overall safety of your property without having to rely on outdated security models. By focusing on prevention and lightning-fast response times, we help make peace of mind plentiful for today's most successful property owners and managers.

A popular bar and food hall near downtown Pullman is closing at the end of the month.

Lumberyard, located at 305 N. Grand Ave., is home to four food establishments and two bars, according to its Facebook page.

Lumberyard is a “multi-cuisine food hall” founded in 2018 from a 1950s steel, semicircular hut used as a lumberyard and building supply facility, according to Lumberyard’s website. Pullman Building Supply used to operate at the location.

Molly Golden and former general manager of the College Hill bar Stubblefields, DJ Goldfinger, took over ownership of Lumberyard in 2021, according to the Moscow-Pullman Daily News.

The goal was to create a locally owned, community-focused gathering place in the downtown area, according to a news release from Lumberyard regarding its closure. Since then, it became a space for food, music, events and connection.

“Lumberyard was built around the idea of community – supporting small businesses, creating a welcoming place downtown, and giving people somewhere to gather,” Golden said in the release. “We truly had something for everyone, and we are incredibly proud of what was created here.”

Goldfinger thanked the staff, vendors, customers and the community for their support.

“This place existed because people showed up – not just to eat, but to support local,” he said in the release.

Besides its food and beverage offerings, Lumberyard’s Facebook page says it includes an indoor and outdoor children area, two patios and a dance floor. They host karaoke, Bingo and other events.

Lumberyard’s last day of business is Jan. 31, and it will continue to operate until then.

Two of the food businesses at Lumberyard, Mang’s Sushi and Mi Rinconcito Colombiano, are planning to continue serving the community in new locations, the release said.

Gonzaga is looking for a 6-0 start in WCC play on Thursday against the Cougars

The Gonzaga Bulldogs are off to a blistering 17-1 start in the 2025-26 college basketball season, with an ugly 40 point loss against Michigan in the Players Era Championship the lone blemish on an otherwise sparkly resume for coach Mark Few's team.

Five of those wins have come in conference play as the Zags look to win the WCC one final time before making the jump to the new look Pac-12 in 2026-27.

Joining Gonzaga in the new Pac-12 will be Thursday's opponent, Washington State, who is currently an affiliate member of the WCC alongside Oregon State after the rest of their conference abandoned them and split up among the Big Ten, Big 12, and ACC.

Washington State (8-10, 3-2) got off to a slow start to begin coach David Riley's second season, but the Cougs have fared better in league play, winning at Portland and at home against Oregon State and LMU with road losses to Seattle and a close one against Saint Mary's in Moraga, 88-82, on Saturday.

Gonzaga is heavily favored Thursday night in Pullman, but a road game against a local rival is never easy, and the Cougs have almost certainly had this game circled on their calendar all year long.

Below are three keys for Gonzaga to secure a win over WSU on Thursday, with the game set to tip at 7:00 PM on the CBS Sports Network.

1. Get off to fast start

Although Gonzaga is undefeated in 2026, they have yet to get off to a strong start in any of their three January games. Graham Ike willed them to a win over Santa Clara despite a tie game at halftime, while the Zags needed a late push to force overtime at home against conference newcomer Seattle U before Tyon Grant-Foster carried them to an eight point victory.

Beasley Coliseum is likely going to bring the noise on Thursday night, and it's crucial Gonzaga doesn't slog through the first five minutes in Pullman - which will only invigorate the crowd and in turn the Cougars, who are coming off a very strong road performance against Saint Mary's.

2. Force turnovers and get out in transition

Washington State is among the most turnover prone teams in college basketball. They average 13.5 turnovers per game, which ranks 306th in the country, while KenPom calculates an 18.8% turnover rate for the Cougars, which isn't much better at 270th overall.

Meanwhile, Gonzaga has done an excellent job of forcing turnovers this year, with their 20% opponent turnover rate putting them 52nd in the country.

The fastest way to quiet an opposing crowd, especially one as lively as WSU's, is to generate live ball turnovers and convert them into easy points in transition. If Gonzaga is able to secure live ball turnovers early in this game it will go a long way toward taking the Cougars out of this game early and allowing the Zags - and their fans - to watch the second half without needing heart medication on Thursday night.

3. Contain Ace Glass III

Glass was the No. 223 ranked freshman in the country when the 6'3 guard committed to Washington State, and he clearly came to Pullman with something to prove. The Rancho Cucamonga native is averaging 15.9 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.0 assists for the Cougars, which included a ridiculous 40 point outburst against Arizona State in the Maui Invitational, and a stellar 24 point, six rebound night in Moraga against Saint Mary's on Saturday, a game the Cougars lost by just six.

Gonzaga will likely start the game with Emmanuel Innocenti - one of coach Few's best on-ball defenders in recent memory - lined up opposite Glass, with Jalen Warley, Tyon Grant-Foster, and potentially Mario Saint-Supery getting cracks at him as well.

Glass is tough because he can get downhill and score at the rim, can shoot adequately from beyond the arc, and has grown in his ability to draw contact and get to the free throw line. However, he's not much of a facilitator, while WSU's offense does not have much punch outside the freshman.

Simply put, the path to a WSU victory becomes really, really hard if Glass doesn't have a strong performance. Shut him down and the Zags almost certainly leave Pullman with a win and a 6-0 start in conference play.

Will the Mizzou OC become the Wazzu HC?

Missouri football offensive coordinator Kirby Moore has seemingly emerged as a potential candidate to fill the open head coach position at Washington State. A video was posted to Twitter by Spokesman-Review reporter Greg Woods of Moore arriving at the airport Wednesday, Dec. 10, in Pullman, Washington, which is where Washington State is based.

That has sparked an online game of ‘Where’s Kirby?’

Several outlets in Pullman, including 247Sports Washington State reporter Jamey Vinnick, reported that Moore was in Pullman and seemingly interviewing for the open head coaching position with the Cougars, which was left vacant after Jimmy Rogers left to replace Penn State-bound Matt Cambell as the head coach at Iowa State.

PowerMizzou, the 247Sports outlet in Columbia, reported that sources said Moore was not in Pullman on Wednesday.

Check out the all new PLAY hub with puzzles, games and more!

So, what do we know? Let’s try and parse through the available info.

Kirby Moore latest coaching job info

Moore is from Prosser, Washington, and has appeared on hot boards as a candidate to fill the open head coaching position at both Wazzu and Oregon State, as well as the open offensive coordinator job at Oregon, left vacant by now-Kentucky head coach Will Stein. Oregon State has since hired Alabama assistant JaMarcus Shephard to lead its program.

The video of the vehicle reportedly carrying Moore from the Pullman airport to interview for the Washington State job is far too blurry to concretely say whether or not it’s the Mizzou offensive play caller.

Prosser and Pullman are separated by less than 200 miles. Moore still has family in the area, and it’s certainly possible that it was him in the vehicle but just on a personal visit.

The plane that reportedly brought Moore to Pullman departed from Phoenix. It’s even more unclear why Moore would have been in Arizona before Pullman.

The Tribune was also told that the Tigers began bowl prep this week. Mizzou was allotted 15 additional practices to prepare for the Gator Bowl, with the Tigers set to face Virginia on Dec. 27 in Jacksonville, Florida. You would expect the offensive coordinator to be present for those, especially as the Tigers have important evaluation to do at the quarterback position before next season begins.

Despite the Missouri offense generally regressing this season, it’s not a major surprise that Moore is a candidate for open head coaching roles at the FBS level, especially in the Pacific Northwest.

Moore is a Boise State alum and has spent time coaching at Washington under Chirs Peterson and Fresno State under Jeff Tedford and Kalen DeBoer. His brother, Kellen Moore, is the head coach of the New Orleans Saints in the NFL. Their father, Tom Moore, is a now-retired longtime high school head coach at Prosser High in Washington.

Per his most recent contract, signed shortly before the Tigers beat Ohio State in the 2023 Cotton Bowl after a tremendous first season as Mizzou’s offensive play caller, Moore is signed with the Tigers through January 2027.

He earns $1.5 million in total pay per year to call plays for the Tigers, which is $250,000 more than Rogers made with Washington State this year, per USA Today’s coaching salary database.

That doesn’t necessarily mean Moore would be in line for a pay cut, if he took the job in Pullman, but it wouldn’t likely be an enormous raise, either.

Missouri has the nation’s No. 27-ranked total offense this season with 429.3 yards per game, helped greatly by fielding the nation’s No. 8-ranked rushing offense.

Moore has called the plays for Mizzou’s offense since 2023.

Was his third season in Columbia his last? The available information leans more toward Moore not being in Pullman to interview for the Washington State job. That's not the same as a report that he wasn't there, which is just currently unconfirmed. But, on-campus visits for interviews are now extremely rare, and there's very little concrete evidence that Moore was out west.

Time will tell. So far, there is only speculation on Moore's whereabouts.

PULLMAN, WA — A metaphorical ring, local businesses, and plenty of food. These are just some of the ingredients for what the Community Action Center (CAC) in Pullman is cooking up for The Great Food Fight on the Palouse.

Volunteer at the community action center, Heidi Hughes, is no stranger to volunteer work and nonprofits.

In fact, Hughes was previously working out of a food bank in the Midwest, where she got the idea for the Great Food Fight.

“When I was living out of Illinois, we had this wonderful thing we did at the local foodbank called the corporate food fight,” Hughes said.

The community action center in Pullman serves around 1500 individuals every quarter, including around 400 kids.

Hughes and the team knew that times were only going to get tougher -- and the community needed to get involved.

“We needed to come up with a new way to bring in food and to bring in people and to bring in awareness of the resources in our community,” Hughes said.

Hughes’ goal for the fundraiser relies heavily on community involvement.

“A, is community awareness in a difficult financial time for most people. B, awareness of what community action has to offer and the resources,” Hughes said.

Hughes hopes the competitive nature of the event will make it even more productive.

“What I hope is that this great food fight starts a discussion in our town and a discussion in our community that allows us to continue to talk about hunger year-round in ways that are, you know, not just a starving kid with an empty bowl but in warm, loud, and happy ways,” Hughes said.

Nine local businesses are participating in the Great Food Fight, including:

Cultivated Coffee + Kitchen

Largent's Pullman Appliance

Palouse Caboose Bar & BBQ

Rico’s

Smoot's Flavor Farm

Sella’s Calzone and Pizza

Whitman County Landlord Association

Brused Books

Paradise Creek Brewery

Each team is competing to see who can collect the most pounds of food and care items, but the real win is for the families and neighbors who benefit from their efforts.

As Missouri begins their preparations for their bowl game against Virginia, it looks like they'll be without their offensive coordinator for some of it.

Greg Woods of the Spokesman Review reports that Mizzou OC Kirby Moore has arrived at the Pullman, WA airport, presumably to interview for the head coach opening at Washington State.

WSU turns to Mizzou OC Moore for potential head coach job

WSU lost their head man Jimmy Rogers to Iowa State, and are now deep into the process of finding their next coach. While multiple names have been reported to be candidates for the job, this is the first time that Moore has seemingly tossed his hat into the ring.

Moore, who joined the Tigers in 2023, also coaches quarterbacks, and was responsible for the development of current New York Jet Brady Cook. While injuries to Beau Pribula derailed part of the 2025 season, the Tigers still finished with the sixth-ranked offense in the SEC.

Moore also has ties to the Washington area, as he attended high school in Prosser, WA, just a few hours west of Pullman. Moore also was a graduate assistant at the University of Washington for one season. So, if the Cougars are looking for a local guy to help with recruiting, Moore makes for an obvious choice.

If the Tigers lose Moore to WSU it would be a crushing blow to the Mizzou offense, potentially even setting off unforseen trasnfers. Still, as of now, nothing is concrete, and there's always the chance the Moore retains his position in Columbia.
