Monterey County’s newest luxury hotel is inviting the community to celebrate Super Bowl Sunday with a free watch party in its newly opened courtyard.

Kimpton Mirador Pacific Grove will host the community event on Sunday, Feb. 8, following the hotel’s opening week. Located at 150 Fountain Ave., the courtyard opens at 2:30 p.m., just in time for the 3:30 p.m. kickoff.

Football fans are invited to gather in the outdoor courtyard to watch the game, with food and drinks available for purchase from the hotel’s signature restaurant, The Caledonian.

The event will also feature specialty cocktails themed for game day, including The 12th Man and The Drank Maye, along with popcorn, pom-poms and other fan-focused touches.

Spanish Revival-style architectural elements include terracotta rooflines, arched openings and hand-plastered walls, while interiors by San Francisco-based design studio Narrative feature artwork from regional artists. Amenities include a firelit courtyard, a fitness studio, pet-friendly accommodations and complimentary bicycles for guests. In-room wellness offerings include yoga mats and kits and the hotel offers daily wellness programming in partnership with Monterey Bay Moves, such as yoga, sound baths and fitness classes.
