Remote Surveillance Trailer in Hayward, CA

Businesses like yours that exist in today's commercial landscape have to navigate a litany of complex security challenges that go beyond their property and premises. We're talking about criminals intent on trespassing, theft, squatting, vandalism, and more. Unfortunately, conventional security efforts are often underwhelming and ineffective in managing modern risks. That's because traditional systems are reactive, not proactive, by nature. That means they're designed to respond to criminal acts after they've happened. Typical responses from these systems include sounding alarms and notifying the authorities - but only after trespassers are on-site. This type of response leads to unnecessary false alarms and frustratingly slow police response times, giving criminals the opportunity to escape with sensitive assets, data, and more.

Mr. Security Camera was founded to address these shortcomings by offering business owners like you proactive, comprehensive security solutions you can count on. With innovative tools like a remote surveillance trailer in Hayward, CA, you can get ahead of security breaches, deter potential criminals from committing crimes, and solidify the overall safety of your property without having to rely on outdated security models. By focusing on prevention and lightning-fast response times, we help make peace of mind plentiful for today's most successful property owners and managers.

An explosion that injured six people and damaged multiple homes near the city of Hayward originated from a natural gas pipeline.

HAYWARD, CA — An explosion that injured six people and damaged multiple homes near the city of Hayward on Thursday originated from a natural gas pipeline installed in the 1940s, according to preliminary information released Saturday by the National Transportation Safety Board.

The National Transportation Safety Board, or NTSB, is a federal agency charged with investigating accidents including those involving pipelines. An NTSB investigative team arrived Friday at about 11:30 a.m. and reviewed the area and the pipeline.

NTSB determined that a 3/4-inch diameter steel line and 2-inch diameter steel gas main that carried natural gas to a residence in the 800 block of East Lewelling Boulevard of an unincorporated area of Alameda County were damaged during grading work for a road improvement project along the street in front of the house, the agency said.

The six people who were injured were taken to a hospital and were in stable condition as of Friday evening, according to the Alameda County Fire Department.

The gas main was damaged by a work crew that then called PG&E to the scene to shut off the gas. But about 10 minutes after PG&E said its workers successfully shut off gas to the area, a large explosion occurred at about 9:40 a.m.

The NTSB team will be on the scene for the next 5-7 days, NTSB spokesperson Peter C. Knudson said in an email.

During the preliminary investigation, the NTSB will establish a detailed timeline of events and notifications and test the pipeline and uncover the area around it to collect evidence. Interviews will be conducted with construction and PG&E workers, and records of work site preparation and construction practices will be reviewed.

The preliminary investigation will determine facts about the case, but a probable cause of the explosion won't be determined until the final report from the NTSB, which could take between one to two years, Knudson said.

Results of the preliminary investigation will be posted on the NTSB website www.ntsb.gov/investigations/AccidentReports/Pages/Reports.aspx.

Other investigations are being conducted by the Alameda County Fire Department, which led the response to the fire and explosion, and PG&E, according to those agencies.

HAYWARD, Calif. - A family of five lost their home and everything they owned in a gas pipe explosion near Hayward last week, family friends said, while trying to raise money to help them.

A GoFundMe organized by neighbor Allie Fralick identified the family as Jorge Duenas Ponce, his brother, sister and two young children as the people living at 867 E. Lewelling Boulevard, which was destroyed in a spectacle caught on video about 9:35 a.m. on Dec. 11.

Six people were injured, and two properties were destroyed, according to the Alameda County Fire Department. The other destroyed property belonged to the parents of Jessica Fox, she wrote, saying that her mom and one of her dogs got out safely, but her other dog and kitten did not survive. Her parents also lost everything, she said.

In terms of the Ponce family, Fralick wrote that "in a single moment, three adult siblings—two brothers and their sister—along with two young children, lost everything they owned." She said they were in the home when it blew up.

Two of the adults and one of the children are still in the hospital with severe injuries, she said.

Fralick said she has been friends with this "amazing, hardworking family for almost 30 years" and wanted to help, as they have been left with no food, cars, or clothing.

"Everything exploded or was burned by the ensuing fire," she said.

Efforts to speak to Fralick or the family were not immediately successful on Monday morning.

But neighbor Brittany Maldano, who provided the Nest camera video of the explosion, which has since been aired around the world including in Pakistan and England, told KTVU that she is aware of the fundraising effort.

She and her husband, Christian, are now living in the Holiday Inn Express in Castro Valley, because they still have no heat in their home, which she said, luckily, only sustained a cracked window.

Maldanado said she wants officials to officially clear her home for safety before she returns.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the blast, which occurred after a third-party construction crew struck an underground natural gas line on the 800 block of Lewelling Boulevard, according to PG&E. The utility said the line was hit around 7:35 a.m., nearly two hours before the blast.

PG&E said that three of their employees were also injured in the blast.

Residents identified the construction crew as Redgwick Construction, based in Oakland.

Both the company’s website and the Alameda County Public Works Department list the work as part of an active project to improve East Lewelling Boulevard.

According to Cal-OSHA enforcement records, Redgwick has had no citations or violations in the last decade.

Community members affected by the blast are encouraging each other to attend the Alameda County Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday at 1 p.m. to voice concerns and hardships in the public comment section stemming from the gas pipe explosion.

HAYWARD, CA — Jessica Fox's mother was in her living room Thursday night when her home exploded.

She managed to get out and rescue one of her dogs, Fox recalled. But her other dog and kitty did not survive the blast, Fox recalls.

"We are still in shock, but incredibly thankful that my mom escaped alive and unharmed," Fox said in a post on GoFundMe. "It’s truly a miracle she walked away from something like this."

Fox's parents were one of multiple families impacted when a damaged gasline exploded Thursday morning in the 800 block of East Lewelling Boulevard, sending several people to the hospital, at least three in serious condition.

Community members are rallying around the people whose homes were leveled in a destructive explosion, including Fox's and one other family.

"Unfortunately, my parents have lost everything," Fox said. "Their home and my father’s business were completely destroyed and burnt to the ground. They are left with each other, their surviving doggie, and only the clothes they were wearing at the time."

Allie Fralick said in a separate GoFundMe that her longtime friends had their family home destroyed during the explosion. Two adults in the family and a child are currently hospitalized, according to Fralick's post.

"This family has been left with nothing," according to the fundraiser. "No clothing, no food, no cars—everything exploded or was burned by the ensuing fire."

The gas pipeline, which dates back to the 1940s, was damaged by a work crew. It appeared the crew had successfully turned off the gas when the explosion happened just minutes later, according to authorities.

Cherly Hurd, a public affairs manager with the Alameda County Fire Department, said three buildings were destroyed on two separate properties, and surrounding adjacent buildings were also damaged.

The Red Cross was called to the scene and is helping those displaced, authorities said Thursday.

HAYWARD, CA — PG&E told fire crews they "did not need assistance" with a gas leak nearly two hours before a massive explosion near Hayward that destroyed a home and left several people injured, according to a report by the National Transportation Safety Board.

The explosion on the morning of Dec. 11, 2025, left at least six people injured and damaged two homes along the 800 block of East Lewelling Boulevard in an unincorporated area of Alameda County.

Employees of Mayo Asphalt Milling, a roadway and sidewalk repair company, were conducting road work in the area at around 7:25 a.m. when they damaged a service line leading to a nearby property, according to the report.

PG&E's maintenance crew arrived about 22 minutes later and found a gas leak in the service line leading to a property at 868 East Lewelling Blvd, according to the report.

The Alameda County Fire Department arrived just a few minutes later, but left soon after when a PG&E responder informed them that they did not need assistance," according to the report.

The maintenance crew squeezed off the service line that was damaged, but detected gas at the ground level near the impacted home. Workers from the utility company told NTSB investigators that they knocked on the impacted home and two neighboring ones to inform them of the situation, but nobody answered.

Crews soon began digging and shut off the gas main to stop the flow of gas into the service lines of the impacted home just before 9:30 a.m. Less than 10 minutes later, the impacted home exploded, prompting fire crews to return to the scene, according to the report.

"The NTSB’s investigation is ongoing," according to the NTSB report. "Future investigative activity will focus on the physical evidence secured at the accident site, safe excavation practices, and PG&E’s leak response and leak investigation procedures. "

An earlier assessment by the NTSB determined the line damaged by the workers was a natural gas pipeline installed in the 1940s.
