Remote Surveillance Trailer in Culver City, CA

Businesses like yours that exist in today's commercial landscape have to navigate a litany of complex security challenges that go beyond their property and premises. We're talking about criminals intent on trespassing, theft, squatting, vandalism, and more. Unfortunately, conventional security efforts are often underwhelming and ineffective in managing modern risks. That's because traditional systems are reactive, not proactive, by nature. That means they're designed to respond to criminal acts after they've happened. Typical responses from these systems include sounding alarms and notifying the authorities - but only after trespassers are on-site. This type of response leads to unnecessary false alarms and frustratingly slow police response times, giving criminals the opportunity to escape with sensitive assets, data, and more.

Mr. Security Camera was founded to address these shortcomings by offering business owners like you proactive, comprehensive security solutions you can count on. With innovative tools like a remote surveillance trailer in Culver City, CA, you can get ahead of security breaches, deter potential criminals from committing crimes, and solidify the overall safety of your property without having to rely on outdated security models. By focusing on prevention and lightning-fast response times, we help make peace of mind plentiful for today's most successful property owners and managers.

Veteran healthcare executive Michael Sarian, Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of NOR Healthcare Systems Corp., has led the successful acquisition and operational turnaround of Southern California Hospital at Culver City,((formerly Brotman Hospital) restoring stability, quality, and community confidence in one of West Los Angeles' most historic hospitals.

When Sarian and NOR Healthcare Systems Corp assumed ownership, the hospital faced significant operational and reputational challenges. Community trust had eroded, operational flow had become unstable amid uncertainty and the prospect of collapse, and emergency room diversion meant local patients were being routed to hospitals farther away. Concerns regarding quality of care further underscored the urgent need for disciplined leadership and structural reform.

Under Sarian's direction, the hospital has undergone a comprehensive turnaround focused on restoring clinical standards, strengthening operational systems, and rebuilding patient confidence.

"Our goal is to honor nearly a century of care while ensuring this hospital meets the highest standards of quality and service," said Sarian. "We are committed to providing the Culver City community with a safe, reliable, and compassionate place to receive care, and to restoring trust in every aspect of hospital operations."

Today, Southern California Hospital at Culver City reflects a renewed commitment to its founding mission of combining compassion with innovative medicine for residents of Culver City and surrounding communities.

The Emergency Room is fully open and actively serving local patients, ending prior diversion issues. Operational flow has been restructured to ensure accountability and patient safety. The lobby and physicians' lounge have been remodeled, elevating both patient and staff experience. Facility upgrades and new vendors reinforce a culture of cleanliness and professionalism. Leading medical specialists continue to join the physician roster, strengthening clinical capabilities across departments.

Sarian's broader model, acquiring distressed hospitals and restoring them to operational success, is built on financial discipline, regulatory cooperation, and hands-on executive leadership. Through American Healthcare Systems Corp., Inc., NOR Healthcare Systems Corp., and Healthcare Systems of America Corp., he operates nineteen hospitals in Los Angeles and

across the country, systematically stabilizing facilities facing financial and operational distress and returning them to long term viability and profitability.

Prior to founding these companies, Sarian served as President of Hospital Operations for Prime Healthcare Services, where he oversaw 45 hospitals across 15 states. Under his leadership, eight of those hospitals were ranked among the nation's Top 100 Hospitals by IBM Watson Health, a nationally recognized benchmark for clinical excellence and operational performance.

With nearly a century of service to West Los Angeles, Southern California Hospital at Culver City represents more than a healthcare facility. It represents community legacy. With more than three decades of experience in hospital operations, Sarian remains focused on protecting that legacy while preserving access to high quality, compassionate care for the communities that depend on it.

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health is investigating a confirmed case of measles in a resident who recently traveled internationally and visited several LA County public locations while infectious. This is the fourth case of measles reported by Public Health in 2026.

Potential Exposure at LAX Airport

This traveler arrived on Singapore Airlines Flight #0038 at the Los Angeles International (LAX) Airport, Tom Bradley International Airport Terminal (Terminal B), on February 9.

People who were at Terminal B on February 9 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:40 p.m. may have been exposed to the measles virus.

In collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), passengers seated near the infected traveler will be notified by their respective local health departments. The CDC and local public health departments routinely work together to investigate communicable disease exposures on international flights to the United States.

Additional Potential Exposure Locations

Additionally, people who were at the following locations during the listed dates and times may have been exposed and be at risk of developing measles:

· Burger King #317, 1212 W Beverly Blvd, Montebello, CA 90640, February 10, 2026, 5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m.

· Taqueria El Atacor #3, 11156 1/2 Whittier Blvd, Whittier, CA 90606, February 11, 2026, 3 p.m. - 5 p.m.

· Domino's Pizza #7857, 803 W Whittier Blvd, Montebello, CA 90640, February 12, 2026, 4 p.m. - 5:15 p.m.

· 7-Eleven #25387, 1106 W Beverly Blvd, Montebello, CA 90640, February 13, 2026, 4:30 p.m. - 5:45 p.m.

Recommended Actions for the Public

People who were on the flight or at any of these locations during the dates and times listed above may be at risk of developing measles 7 to 21 days after exposure. They should confirm their protection against measles. People who have had measles in the past or received the recommended measles vaccine are likely protected but should still monitor for symptoms. People who are unimmunized or have unknown measles immunization status are at higher risk and should monitor for symptoms closely. Anyone who remains symptom-free for more than 21 days after being exposed is no longer considered at risk.

Symptom monitoring deadlines by exposure location:

· For those exposed at LAX, the last day to monitor for symptoms is March 2.

· For those exposed at Burger King #317, the last day to monitor for symptoms is March 3.

· For those exposed at Taqueria El Atacor #3, the last day to monitor for symptoms is March 4.

· For those exposed at Domino's Pizza #7857, the last day to monitor for symptoms is March 5.

· For those exposed at 7-Eleven #25387, the last day to monitor for symptoms is March 6.

Affected healthcare facilities are directly notifying patients and staff who may have been exposed.

Public Health is working to identify any other potential exposure sites in Los Angeles County and any others who may have been exposed and will assess their risk for developing a measles infection.

As measles outbreaks continue to occur both in the United States and internationally, Public Health urges everyone in LA County to ensure they are fully protected from measles before traveling and take recommended precautions.

The most effective way to protect yourself and your family is with the measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine. Children 12 months and older are considered fully protected against measles after receiving two doses of the MMR vaccine. Infants who are older than 6 months and are traveling internationally or to domestic areas with ongoing measles outbreaks can get an early dose.

"As measles cases increase, it is important that residents take steps to make sure they are fully protected. The MMR vaccine is the safest and most reliable way to prevent measles and protect yourself, your family, and your community," said Muntu Davis, MD, MPH, Los Angeles County Health Officer. "Measles spreads easily and can lead to serious complications, including pneumonia, brain swelling, and even death. We urge everyone to confirm their immunity and get the MMR vaccine if needed, especially before traveling. Taking this simple step helps safeguard your health and strengthens protection for our entire community."

Public Health encourages everyone to:

· Check your immunization status before traveling. Review your immunization and medical records to determine if everyone in your family is protected against measles. People are considered protected if they have had measles in the past or have received the recommended MMR vaccine. This is especially important for anyone 6 months of age and older who will be traveling internationally or domestically in areas experiencing measles outbreaks. Infants aged 6 to 11 months with planned travel to these locations should receive one early dose of MMR at least 2 weeks before travel. This does not replace the routine doses given at 12-15 months and 4-6 years. Anyone who is not protected should talk with a health care provider about receiving the MMR immunization.

· Notify a healthcare provider if you are at higher risk. Contact and notify your health care provider as soon as possible about a potential exposure for guidance and next steps, especially if you are pregnant, the person exposed is an infant under aged 12 months, you have a weakened immune system and/or are unimmunized.

· Watch for symptoms and take immediate action. If symptoms develop, such as fever, cough, runny nose, red eyes, or a rash, stay at home and avoid school, work, and any gatherings. Call a healthcare provider immediately. Do not go into a health care facility without calling them first. Let them know you may have been exposed to measles and describe your symptoms. Public Health can assist health care providers in appropriately diagnosing and managing your care.

The latest case of measles in a Los Angeles County resident was reported on February 2.

LOS ANGELES - IKEA U.S. is officially bringing its signature Scandinavian style to the heart of the Helms Design District.

The company announced on Tuesday that it will open a new store in Culver City in 2026, marking a significant milestone in its Southern California presence.

Local perspective:

The upcoming Culver City location will serve as Los Angeles’ first "city-center" store, a smaller-format concept designed to bring the IKEA experience closer to urban residents.

Spanning approximately 38,050 square feet, the store will feature a central planning area where experts can help customers design complex spaces like kitchens, bedrooms, and bathrooms.

While smaller than the traditional blue-box warehouses, the store will stock 3,000 items ready for purchase, including home accessories and 600 small furniture items.

Fans of the IKEA Cafe won't be disappointed; the location will offer iconic food favorites like its famed Swedish meatballs, plant balls, cinnamon buns, and veggie dogs.

Big picture view:

The announcement coincided with IKEA’s 2025 Annual Summary, which shares progress the company has made in 2025.

Despite "challenging external factors including increased inflation and waning consumer confidence," IKEA U.S. reported $5.3 billion in total sales for FY25, with $1.9 billion coming from ecommerce.

SUGGESTED:

The IKEA Family Rewards program also saw a 17% jump, reaching 25 million members, according to the company.

What we don't know:

IKEA did not reveal an exact opening date for the Culver City store.

What they're saying:

"FY25 was a year of meaningful connection and growth despite a challenging external environment. We strengthened our ability to serve customers through new store formats, digital innovation and expanded rewards, all while reinforcing our commitment to communities and the environment," said Rob Olson, Interim CEO of IKEA U.S.

SUGGESTED:

'"Looking ahead to FY26, we will build on this momentum, focusing on continued investment in the U.S. to make IKEA more affordable, accessible and sustainable."

What's next:

The Culver City store will be the 11th IKEA in California and the 10th in Southern California, joining existing full-sized stores in Burbank, Carson, Costa Mesa, and Covina.

Nationally, the company is moving forward with previously announced 2026 locations in: Huntsville, AL; University Park and Rockwall, TX (Dallas region); Phoenix, AZ; Chantilly/Dulles, VA; and Houston–Webster, TX.

L.A.’s Westside is finally getting its first Ikea outpost.

The furniture company known for its Swedish meatballs and blocky “Kallax” shelving units has found a home inside the old Helms Bakery complex in Culver City.

The store, slated to open this spring, will be its 11th in California and is the company’s first “city-center” store in Los Angeles.

It will occupy a roughly 40,000-square-foot portion of a lot formerly used by L.A. luxury furniture retailer HD Buttercup, which went out of business last year, said Wally Marks III, owner of the Helms complex.

Ikea chose to open a location in Culver City because residents “spend a significant amount of time commuting and are increasingly impacted by affordability challenges,” spokesperson Briana Lehman said in a statement.

“We’re bringing the IKEA experience closer to where people live, work, socialize, and shop—just in a smaller footprint,” Lehman said.

The Helms building was chosen because it is a historic Los Angeles destination known for its restaurants and home furnishings businesses, Lehman said.

The complex has other furniture stores, including a Scandinavian Designs store, The Rug Warehouse and Room and Board.

The expansion is part of Ikea’s strategy of opening smaller stores targeting urban customers.

Unlike the larger suburban stores in Burbank and Carson, this Ikea won’t have signature vibrant blue exterior walls. The exterior of the beloved Art Deco building won’t change, Marks said.

There will, however, be showrooms with fully-furnished home kitchens and bathrooms tailored for a local L.A. audience.

Meanwhile, unlike the tiny 9,000-square-foot Ikea store that opened in Arcadia’s Santa Anita Mall in 2024, the Culver City location will feature a food court.

In 2023, Ikea opened an 85,000-square-foot location in downtown San Francisco.

In 2025, Ikea U.S. reported $5.3 billion in sales, including $1.9 billion in e-commerce sales, according to a company statement.

Ikea U.S. interim Chief Executive Rob Olson said in the statement that the company was able to grow in 2025 “despite a challenging external environment.”

In 2026, the company plans to “build on this momentum, focusing on continued investment in the U.S. to make IKEA more affordable, accessible and sustainable,” Olson said. The company has set a goal of opening 10 new stores during its 2026 fiscal year, which began in September.

The 11-acre Helms complex is the former home of the Helms bakery, famous for the butter yellow trucks that once zoomed across Southern California delivering fresh bread and for being an official supplier for the 1932 Olympics – a distinction still proudly displayed on a rooftop sign.

The bakery shut down in 1969 because the founder did not want his company to unionize, once reported. The Marks family real estate firm bought the property in 1972 and turned it into a center for home furnishings and antiques.

A new version of Helm’s Bakery opened inside the Helms Design District in November 2024 but in December due to lagging sales. That 14,000-square-foot lot has found its next tenant, Marks said.

No extra parking is being built for Ikea, but patrons can use the existing Helms Bakery lots across Venice Boulevard, Marks said. The store is a short walk from the Culver City light rail station and bus lines, he said.

Your city might soon be getting some new furniture — with a side of Swedish meatballs.

IKEA is expanding its U.S. footprint again, announcing plans to open 10 new stores in 2026, including a new California location in Culver City, according to the company’s newly released 2025 Annual Summary.

The Swedish-based furniture giant revealed four additional 2026 openings on Tuesday, adding to six locations it had already announced last year as part of its long-term growth strategy.

Here's what to know:

What we know about the California IKEA opening

The Culver City store will mark a major milestone for IKEA in Southern California.

IKEA U.S. says the location will be a 38,050-square-foot “city-center” store, a smaller-format concept designed to bring the brand closer to urban customers who may not live near traditional big-box locations.

Located in Los Angeles’ Helms Design District, the store will feature a central planning area where customers can work with IKEA experts to design kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, and other complex living spaces.

While the store will be significantly smaller than the retailer’s signature warehouse-style locations, it will still stock:

Fans of the IKEA Café won’t be left out either. The Culver City location is expected to serve classic menu favorites like Swedish meatballs, plant balls, cinnamon buns, and veggie dogs.

IKEA has not yet announced an exact opening date for the Culver City store.

How many IKEA stores are in California?

When it opens, the Culver City store will become IKEA’s 11th location in California. It will join existing full-sized IKEA stores in Burbank, Carson, Costa Mesa, Covina, Emeryville, Palo Alto, San Diego, and West Sacramento

Where else is IKEA opening new stores in 2026?

The 10 new IKEA locations planned for 2026 span seven states, with Texas landing the most new stores.

Here are the cities slated to get a new IKEA:

The expansion includes IKEA’s first-ever store in Oklahoma, along with expanded footprints in Illinois and Colorado.

Why IKEA is expanding now

The store announcements were released alongside IKEA U.S.’ 2025 Annual Summary, which outlines how the company performed during a challenging retail year.

Despite ongoing inflation and softer consumer confidence, IKEA U.S. reported $5.3 billion in total sales for FY25, driven by 61 million store visitors and a growing online business. Of that total, $1.9 billion came from ecommerce sales.

The company’s IKEA Family Rewards program also continued to grow, jumping 17% to 25 million members nationwide.

“FY25 was a year of meaningful connection and growth despite a challenging external environment,” said Rob Olson, Interim CEO of IKEA U.S. “We strengthened our ability to serve customers through new store formats, digital innovation and expanded rewards, all while reinforcing our commitment to communities and the environment.”

Looking ahead, Olson said IKEA plans to keep investing heavily in the U.S.
