We all want to achieve it and have it be our business motto. I always say to ‘work smarter, not harder’ and that holds true for every aspect of life. This is easy to say but you need to really analyze your business and how you are running it then take the pieces that fall short of expectation and fix them. Pinpointing the issues is the first step to making your company run smoother. For example, we have a client who does not work full days on Fridays.
They noticed their clients don’t want to be bothered on that day and have other things they need to wrap up before the weekend. They work from home when needed on these days which helps to cut back. And who doesn’t love three day weekends. This will not work for a lot of businesses but depending on your field you can always find something to help you be more productive in and out of the office. Another thing I like to use is lists.
It keeps me on track and I can go back to my list when I’m ready to move on to the next project. I have lists and reminders in my notes section on my phone. It has EVERYTHING from my marketing projects to my grocery list, all numbered by importance. Keeping organized is what keeps me productive and it is an easy first step if you’re questioning where to start. Cleaning your desk is a simple yet effective way to become more productive.
Remove unneeded clutter by filing it away and taking the important tasks at hand and put them in an organizer on your desk for your ‘to do’. I promise you there is no better feeling than getting through a pile of work and having a spotless desk. This could also be a spotless vehicle or whatever your ‘workspace’ is. By trying these few pointers, we hope to help you boost your company’s productivity. And don’t forget about our BizPro system which can help organize your leads, newsletters and schedule out the entire year ahead for you.
